My daughter had her first point shoe fitting & overall it was a lovely experience. First, we didn’t book properly (make sure you hit confirm) so we almost had to rebook, but schedules changed & they were able to fit us in. The fitting rooms were beautiful and the individual who helped was friendly, fun, very engaging & ridiculously good at her job. Within 1/2 hour my daughter had her first pair of point shoes that fit her well & looked even better. I cannot thank the staff enough, truly amazing client service!

I came here a few weeks ago to buy ballet soft shoes. The staff are very knowledgeable. The women that helped me found the perfect fit and was so kind and helpful. Can’t recommend this place enough. It’s quite far from my place and worth the commute to get the experience and knowledge the staff hold!

my fitting with Krista was the loveliest. i booked in on a weekday afternoon (after being told on a busy weekend that weekdays are typically very quiet) and enjoyed an extremely thorough and knowledgeable hour getting (re)fit to update my (late model) Gaynor Mindens and, by request, Freeds. virtually every synthetic shoe Krista pulled went into the “this feels great!” pile, and she introduced me to numerous brands I had not previously tried, which was very informative. By request, we also found a great pair of (traditional paste) shoes after just enough experimentation. She was very conscientious. I also appreciate a lot that the fitting began with an ask for consent to be hands-on — I’ve been fit quite a few times and appreciate that fitters can do their best and make better recommendations and assessments by feeling how a shoe fits on the foot, and yet I have never been asked for consent before; this was profoundly respectful.

I’m *very* satisfied with the service, and very confident in my purchases (of Merlet, a new brand to me, and Freeds).

Would absolutely recommend this service to both experienced dancers (to ensure that what shoes have BEEN working are still working the best) and novices. Thanks again, Krista!

We have been here a few times and have always left with shoes for my daughter’s teeny tiny feet. On our most recent visit Colleen helped us and she was amazing. She took her time, listened to what my daughter said and found her a bunch of options (even though we took home the first pair she tried!). I would definitely recommend Colleen and the shoe room! I have also had great experiences with Laurie and customer service when placing a bunch of online orders. Great service all around!

Sales associate said they had lots of leotards and skirts and only pointed out those for kids when I pointed to the direction of kid's outfits. Finally got help from someone who knew where skirts were stored to fit my daughter. Other associate never acknowledged end of transaction which apparently ended when I asked for no receipt. After four visits over several years, it is clear that some associates are well trained and kind, while others appear to be coasting on entitlement and little real knowledge.

I was recommended to come here by my teacher and I'm glad I did! Krista was amazing! She was busy working alone but still managed to go above and beyond and provide great customer service all with patience and a smile. I tried on multiple pairs of shoes and was very particular but she helped me to find the perfect fit. I am also a plus-sized dancer and felt very comfortable and welcomed the entire time. I'll be back for all of my dance-related needs.

Went to The Shoe Room today for my first in person fitting and was blown away by the incredible service. The staff is very kind and ready to help with anything. Had my fitting with Krista and she was absolutely wonderful; great to talk to and very knowledgeable and attentive when fitting the shoes. It feels like their only priority is to make sure that you leave with your perfect pair of pointe shoes❤️ And it worked, I love my shoes😍Overall great experience, would recommend to everyone
