I had an amazing experience at Running Works today! I have a tricky physiological quirk to work with - one leg is shorter than the other and as such, I have a set of orthotics, with one side requiring a lift. These bulky orthotics mean that my heels have been slipping up the back of my current running shoes, and I needed something with sufficiently deep heel cups to accommodate the orthotics. Carol was so incredibly helpful (and patient!) as she answered my questions and as I tried on a very large number of shoes. I walked away with a fun pair of Hoka Bondi 9’s, and a great experience at Running Works! I will definitely be back! Thank you Carol!

These guys were unbelievably understanding of my situation and gave me great recommendations towards getting my first set of shoes. Explained thoroughly about what shoe would be best for me and allowed me to make my decision from there. 10/10 experience and will definetly be back to pickup more running gear in the future!

I had a genuinely amazing experience here! The gentleman who helped us (it was a few weeks ago and his name escapes me, but he runs with UoGuelph..) was absolutely phenomenal! I’ve just gotten into running more seriously and he helped me find the perfect pair of shoes. He was super knowledgeable, patient and kind. I described what I was looking for, priorities, shortcomings of previous shoes, etc., and he brought me a tailored selection of options. It was actually the first pair he recommended that I ended up going for. He really listened and nailed it! Price was reasonable too. I’ve been wearing them for a few weeks now and couldn’t be happier with my choice. Zero adjustment pains. Thank you to the gentleman and I’m sorry your name escapes me. You were the best!!! I loved feeling (fit) after the group
I loved the (social ) part of it !!!
I loved having a physical activity to do!!
I loved ( the introductions) at that start to figure out WHO you are similar too!! Hehe

Feedback - maybe since we’re paying for this program saying- “are you okay if I give you some feedback” that’s a university skill I learned at the university of Guelph Humber.
That way it’s not “ there are some concerns”
But that we’re okay with the feedback.

I know we’re all different in a group BUT ( I personally tried to adjust) the feedback I got about the bathroom in the woods - Lol.

Hmmm . I couldn’t see adjusting the work feedback since I worked at John McCrae.

So loved the group .
It was greasy to join
Felt healthy at the end at a sense of accomplishments from getting out of the house .

I had the absolute best experience at the Running Works today!
If you are looking for new shoes and need help, this is the only store you should consider. I drove the 35 minutes from Waterloo and I am so glad that I did.
The staff member who served me listened to me and what I was looking for in a shoe (as a teacher with some work related foot problems). They produced several options for me to try and even noticed when I needed to size up! This very helpful salesperson even removed one of their own orthotics so I could see how thick it would be and explained how the chiropodist would tailor that to fit my foot in my chosen shoe. Amazing!
In the end, through the knowledge and patience of staff, I left the store with my wonderful new Hoka Mach X shoes and 2 pairs of Feetures socks. My feet are delightfully enjoying their new ride this afternoon.

Went to Running Works for a new pair of shoes and wow, I’m so glad I did! Exceptional service, I came near the end of the day and talked to Carol, and even though it was the end of the day, she was still extremely attentive and patient with me. Finally found the perfect pair and have been loving them ever since. Thank you to Carol, Jake and the whole team for such a lovely experience, cannot recommend them enough!

Running Works is one of the best aspects of running in Guelph. Expert staff, locally owned, welcoming experience. High end products at a great price. Lots of selection and they can order really efficiently. I wear the Mizuno Wave Rider, which they don’t sell anymore, but they ordered them and I had them in 2 days! If you want to learn to run or train for a race or find some friends to run with they have great clinics / groups.

My mom bought a pair of shoes on Sunday and the lady was very friendly and helpful. We went back on Tuesday August 15 in the morning to return the shoes because she was having issues with the bulkiness of the shoes and tried a smaller pair and it was too small. The employee there was very rude. She told him that going up and down the stairs was difficult. And all he said was "I don't think that's a shoe issue" with a judgemental tone. My mom wanted to buy another pair and he had no suggestion whatsoever or even attempted to help in anyway. The employee didn't do his essential job of helping customers meet their shoe needs except judge and stayed silent when we needed help. This employee is obviously not well trained in working on his own or with other employees for that matter. The only good thing he did was refund the shoes. I suggest management find better employees that are passionate about helping their customers find suitable shoes for their everyday or working use. We never write reviews but this interaction made us both upset. We were both calm and just looking for shoes for moms work. I hope that is not the owner because if so he did a very terrible job of representing the good name of The Running works. I've never had another bad experience with this company except this morning.
