First time going to this store and will definitely return! Tom greeted us when we walked in and was fantastic. He was so helpful and made the experience 5 star. He is an asset to the company. Thanks for helping me decide on some new running trainers

Went there to get my gait analysed and the woman there was so helpful and knowledgeable. They recommended me some new trainers and then insoles and then even let me run on the treadmill with the insoles in my running shoes before buying. Answered all questions and gave me excellent advise and no issues with the insoles or aches & pains since! Would definitely recommend if you’re getting into running, get your gait analysed

Outstanding service! I booked a gait analysis online after googling how to get into running after Christmas. I'd added to my booking, "complete newbie, so looking for some running shoes and advice".
My appt was with Karl the store manager who was just lovely, instantly made me feel at ease and was so helpful. I explained what I would like to achieve through running. Then we spoke about what a gait analysis is, the different types of running shoes, plus any other kit I might need. After a few pairs of trainers and a few goes on the treadmill, with Karl's advice and expertise, I found my perfect pair - with the addition of some socks and insoles to help my overpronation. Karl was so kind and took time to explain everything thoroughly. I didn't feel rushed at all, I was so nervous before heading in as this is the first time in my life I've ever thought about running, nevermind going into a running shop. But the experience from start to finish was absolutely brilliant, could not recommend Runners Need Nottingham highly enough. Absolutely excellent service, thank you so much Karl for all your help. I'll definitely be back. ?

After visiting the Leicester store in Highcross six times with no success I went to the Nottingham store on the off chance they might have trainers in my size.
I'm a 5, so not at the extreme end of big or small. Highcross don't stock any size 5 trainers.

At Nottingham, Harriet was amazing. It was a Sunday, they were short staffed but she gave me great advice and fantastic service.

Nothing was too much trouble. She was knowledgeable, professional and extremely helpful. I got the trainers I wanted and am really grateful for all Harriets help.

I will not be visiting anywhere else in the future.

Came here last Sunday after booking a gait analysis appointment online. It was the store manager who took my appointment and he was absolutely fantastic. Very knowledgeable and patient, let me try on lots of different types of trainers and gave me so much info in regards to running. Will definitely be back. Thanks so much.

Came here around lunchtime for a new pair of running shoes. The store is super spacious and Alistair was superb in serving me.

He helped me try on a few different stability shoes and he really knew his stuff telling me about the differences between each shoe. He was also super patient and let me try on each shoe and run on the treadmill to let me feel how they are and also analyse my gait with video. It was perfect service because from previous experience it can feel rushed, or pressured to make a decision, whereas Alistair gave me the time and space to think whilst still giving informative and useful advice.

Definitely recommend coming here if you’re in the market for some new running shoes!

I was very disappointed with this shop.. a small corner of shop dedicated to running. Hardly any choice of running gear.. mostly outdoor activities stuff like mountaineering clothes and so on. For a shop that has the name runners need then i expected more.. derby runner is far better

I learned nothing from my gait analysis. It felt like the person who was supposed to do it had called in sick that morning and someone else had drawn the short straw to do it and they weren't very happy about it. They asked me what I was looking for and got annoyed when I just said 'running shoes', apparently I was supposed to know to tell them how often I run and on what surfaces and what sort of pace etc etc. I still don't know what gait type I am or what type of shoe to look for, they weren't interested in any of my injuries or checking the fit of the shoes and offered no advice, it became a session of me just trying every shoe from the store room on the treadmill until one felt the best. Poor range kept on site of larger women's shoes, so it was suggested I order a half size up for home delivery the next day because the ones in store felt a little small. When the shoes were delivered they didn't feel any bigger than the ones in the store. Rather than just do an exchange online for an even bigger size, I drove to the store again hoping to get someone to check the fit and offer advice. Well I should have saved myself the hour round-trip, the person at the counter wasn't interested either. First I was told the treadmill was booked the whole day, I didn't need the treadmill. I tried to explain again and was then offered the smaller size shoes, really? I had to ask if there was someone who could just help me with the sizing and they begrudgingly agreed to let me put the shoes on, then just said if they feel wrong they are wrong. I asked if I could order the next size up and was told there isn't one. I had to ask them to check, and eventually they had placed the order. I feel no better off than if I had just ordered shoes blindly online, and have no way of knowing if I have made the right choice or wasted £180, so might just end up sending them back anyway. Don't waste your time with this store.
