Since last year, I have wanted to try on Hoka sneakers but was too busy with other things to make time for it. Several of my friends told me how much they loved theirs. Finally, today, we made time to go to Runner's Depot at the Aventura Mall.

When we arrived, the place was packed with customers trying on Hoka and New Balance and Ascics. All the salesmen were busy. We waited for a while patiently, and then Rafael came up to us and asked if he could help us. By then, my daughter decided to get a couple of pairs for herself also. Rafael explained the Fitting Process to try on the shoes, and we had to stand on the Foot Disc to measure our arches. He then knew what type of shoe would be best for us. He brought out several styles. The best style for her was the Hoka Bondi, and for me, the Hoka Gaviota 5. Rafael is an expert fitter. We were so glad that he was helping us both to find the right shoes for our travels and the walking that is entailed. He was patient and understanding. I highly recommend that you ask for him if you visit this store.

The store is nicely organized, and they have a good selection. They also sell athletic wear, socks, caps, sandals, shirts, and runner gear. If they are out of stock of the shoe you want, they will order it and have it sent to your home. But first, they will fit you to make sure that the shoe is the right size and fit. I really like that they do this for the customer. I ordered 2 extra colors that will be shipped to me and walked out with the ones I tried on. My daughter did the same. They will arrive in 5-7 days. I felt like I was walking on a cloud, seriously. You will spend some money for quality, but to get rid of foot pain, it is worth it!

Runner's Depot is located at the Aventura Mall inside the mall by Macy's on the second floor. You can reach it by escalator or elevator. Park by Macy's where the Women's clothing is, go thru Macy's to the second escalator, and it will take you to the second floor, then head months inside mall.

Was planning to window shop here. Walked in and was greeted by Gina who gave me and my husband tons of her time and patience to figure out exactly what shoes fit our lifestyle and feet. She was so so friendly and insightful. One of the best customer services I’ve had!

I travel a lot in my job. I am leaving for 6 weeks for UAE SRI LANKA INDIA. I HAVE bought shoes all over this mall from designer to trainers. I have owned Hoka, Brooks, ON, ASICS, NIKE, Adidas. No one so far until today give me the best fit for me. Other stores can sell you a shoe but to analyze and match up my individual issues today finally were resolved at RUNNERS DEPOT.
MY SALES PERSON WAS…..PARKER!
It was like a consultation with a DPM or podiatrist. He analyzed the shoes I had on, brought several brands out, made me compare and share pluses and minuses, made me stand on a foot analyzer and finally came up with a spot on pair of shoes FOR ME! He discovered besides the shoe that suited me best that I needed a special insert for balance and support. VOILA. I BOUGHT HOKA AND A SPECIAL INSERT. I have spent too much money on poor suggestions without addressing my issues. The manager also assisted in helping me buy compression socks. This store is SERVICE AS WELL AS SALES ORIENTED. 9 stores later I finally through a recommendation of my orthopedic surgeon found this jewel stuck in a corner of this mall.

My wife and I had a very disappointing experience today 12/21/24 with the Aventura location of Runner’s Depot. My wife visited the store to return a pair of Nike Invincible 3 shoes I had purchased at another location. I had tried the shoes on a short run and found they did not work for me. Per their stated policy, customers have 14 days to return items, and the policy specifically mentions returns are allowed until satisfaction is achieved.

However, the staff member assisting my wife was extremely rude and condescending. He insinuated that the reason I didn’t like the shoes was due to a lack of understanding of running, rather than an issue with the product itself. This arrogant and unprofessional attitude made an already frustrating situation much worse.

Despite the store’s return policy, the employee essentially refused to honor it, claiming that if the shoes were exchanged, the exchange would be considered final—even though I wasn’t present to ensure the new pair would suit me. He justified this by saying the store is a small business and implied we should be more understanding of their situation rather than expecting them to uphold their own policies.

While I appreciate supporting small businesses, this kind of dismissive and unhelpful customer service is unacceptable. Policies exist for a reason, and the way my wife was treated made her feel belittled and unwelcome. We expected better from a business that prides itself on serving runners.

Unfortunately, this experience has left us with no desire to return to Runner’s Depot, and I cannot recommend the Aventura location based on the arrogance and poor service displayed by their staff.

The best spot for hot steppers! Wow, I never knew my feet could feel this good. When you get use to common pains it becomes a part of your daily life. You just learn to cope with it. You don't have to, it's never too late to experience true delight. Don't cheat yourself. Be your feet best friend. 10K steps is my daily goal. 30K is the motivation. I am currently hitting 20K and am on my way to 30K easy! You are worth the investment ?✌? ❤️
