Wonderful customer service and staff, however like others on here with similar experiences, there appears top be a lack of experience when it comes to boot modification especially for us wide feet folk.

I had some boots fitted in 2020 and frustratingly didn’t get a chance to ski due to Covid until 2023. Experience terrible pain and fit, but ProFeet were great and more than happy to fit me in for multiple appointments to adjust boots and inject material after the 2-year fit guarantee was over. I even had to resort to skiing without a foot bed due to the lack of vertical boot space, and they were kind enough to refund me on the custom foot-beds. I was told I needed an insole and was given a stock insole. I still couldn’t use it as it did nothing to address the lack of instep space in the boot. Whilst the technicians were lovely, I was told repeatedly “boots aren’t meant to be comfortable” …. and I began accepting maybe it was a personal issue that I could never find a solution to.

One frustrating element is the 1-hour appointments, this is limited time to get work done, and I had to do multiple trips to get one boot adjusted, then the other. After moving out of London, it didn’t make sense to do a 4 hour round trip for a 1-hour appointment.

So, after several trips since 3 boot adjustment appointments, I was still experiencing excruciating pain, and unable to ski some days, I decided to get a second opinion. In just a 1-hour consultation, I was blown away at how good the right shape of boot could feel (before modification), and the options to adjust the shell and liner to suit the foot. Options never mentioned at ProFeet. The fitter was so experienced he guessed both my skiing and fit issues based off the boot inspection before I even mentioned them.

I know my feet are likely to have changed shape in the past 4 years, and new boot options become available so it’s not ProFeet’s fault. But after spending £450 on boots for the fitting expertise and nearly giving up on the sport, I can’t help but feel a bit let down with the quality of advice I received, and now have a spare pair of poor fitting boots in like new condition!
But on the upside, the lesson learned for us wide feet folk out there, there is hope!

I had an absolutely superb experience working with Ed to find the perfect ski boots! He was incredibly understanding of my specific requirements and took the time to explain all the options available, including pricing and variability. Ed walked me through the choices with patience and lots of advice, ensuring I was comfortable with the decision-making process. I couldn’t have asked for a more professional and attentive service—thank you for making this such an easy and enjoyable experience! Highly recommend Ed! 🙂

Excellent service from Sam. This was a follow up adjustment to my ski boots that I purchased earlier in the year. Sam helped me at the initial appointment and was great. For this follow up he proved that he has excellent knowledge and skills by adjusting my “slightly pinching in a couple of places” boots so that they fit supportingly snug, just what you want for maximum skiing performance and comfort. Would not hesitate to recommend very highly.

The young bootfitter was friendly and seemed like he was trying but in terms of expertise and experience there was hardly any - from incorrectly strapping my boots when heat moulding, to actually causing some damage which I didn’t realise until I went home as he didn’t know how to open the 3 piece system correctly. After the 2 hour session was told “im stumped” and have nothing else to help you with your issues, didn’t even get advised what new boots to buy and you had nothing in stock regarding liners - my only issue is low volume calves. Was then told to get thinner liners from else where (these were even worse) and then put them in the oven at home and mould them myself? Find this both extremely unprofessional and also highly dangerous. I then asked wouldn’t it be better to bring them back here to get refitted to which the bootfitter said yeah why not. However thank god he advised me to get the liners from else where as I ended up at Ski Exchange in Cambridge which are a truly amazing experienced passionate shop with phenomenal stock, advise and got me sorted right out. If you want a generic and what feels like commercial experience go here if you want a truly custom detailed and quality experience go else where.

Excellent service - highly recommended. Mark took 2 and a half hours to fit the right boots. He listened to what I said, my concerns about cold feet and helped me choose an amazing pair of ski boots. Really comfortable and warm, without compromising on fit or performance. Highly recommended.

I have got to give 2 stars for Profeet, which is only for the customer service, but the fitting I paid a lot of money for was not worth the money and my boots have not been a good fit.

Quick overview of my issues: I suffer with fairly flat feet and have always experienced immense arch pain when skiing. I experience this pain every time I ski and have to take breaks to recover from the pain which severely limits my skiing.

I choose to go with Profeet as they have a good reputation and have the fitting guarantee. I'm lucky enough to ski multiple times a year so ended up returning to Profeet a couple of times last season, as the boot continued to hurt each week.

The initial fitting was fine, the fitter was nice and explained the process well and overall was a good salesman.

Unfortunately this boot fitting process is nothing special, it's the exact same routine as every other boot fitter I've seen. They go through the same motions for everyone, which does work well for the vast majority of skiers.

But in my case, the fitter didn't pay much attention to my history and concerns about potential pain with whatever they fitted me with. He was quick to blame my problems on my previous boots, and quickly suggest a new boot for me and put me through the same old fitting routine.

The result was a better boot than my previous boot, but this was probably due to it being a newer boot (previous boot had 8 years or so of use, original liners, with a full season of use). The first week I tried them out I experienced the same pain in no time and had to book a refitting appointment.

Booking the return appointments was easy and they were always happy to get me back in the store, and seemed to have good availability throughout the season.

The problem is that these return appointments didn't help. Apart from the initial fitter, each person I saw was English, young, doesn't get out skiing much and overall were junior fitters.

One of the selling points for me was the potential of seeing a senior fitter, which was always unavailable.

Gives the impression that they hire anyone with the interest in boot fitting and skiing, get them trained up on the routine and have them fitting (selling) in no time. A very lucrative business for sure!

You are not paying for expertise when you come to Profeet, which I thought I would be. The fitters I saw were not expert fitters, not even expert skiers (so can't understand the problems effectively), and definitely aren't the kind of fitters with 10's of years experience fitting skiers with a range of abilities and feet types.

This is a good service for the majority of people, but as soon as you have a problem that can't be fixed with what they've been taught, they simply don't know what to do.

I've given up returning as I don't want to be treated as if my problem doesn't exist or be given a random attempt at a fix. "Everything seems fine with the boot". Yeah, well it's not!

Pros:
- Great customer service, friendly team and try their best to provide a good boot fit.

Cons:
- Unfortunately they cannot fit a boot for me pain free, so my money was poorly spent.
- Most of the staff are junior, not truly experienced boot fitters, not big skiers. To be fair, it's hard to find this kind of fitter in England but from the website and what I read about them I thought their staff would be better than they are.
- I saw a different fitter each time and had to explain my situation all over again, receiving different advice and opinions each time.
- Lack of knowledge. Each fitter I saw tried something new, but it was a guessing game for them.
- Lack of boot selection. For my foot I was only recommended 2 boots. I tried one or two others only after asking to even though the fitter didn't see the point.

If you have odd feet or have experienced problems with fitted boots in the past, I would not recommend these guys. I paid almost £800 and I'm having to get a new pair this season in resort, hopefully with some experienced fitters that I can see at the end of each skiing day to fix issues.

Literally the best place for ski boots, and custom made orthotics. Martha was the consultant, and wow talk about so polite and providing great customer service, the entire team here are just pure hard working, with so much passion and so polite. Refreshingly great customer care, has definitely got me as a loyal customer. So positive and answers all my foot pain or custom questions. Does video gait analysis, really polite entrance greeting. May this place never change, as well as the great staff stays here. So accommodating. I am here for my third refit of my custom made insoles. They really know what they are doing and not trying to up-sell you. They have a wealth of knowledge in ski boots, custom insole, and ski boots and trainers. Thank you for a great customer experience. Really great, only branch and booking only. Book in advance. Does at least one hour custom care per appointment. Thank you Martha and team.
