Went into Hometown Sports looking to get a new cage for my daughter’s hockey helmet. I was told that the specific helmet couldn’t change the mask and I’d need a new helmet. The gentleman working there said he could fix it and did it on the spot. Huge thanks, it now fits great

Was in the shop the other day and Owen sharpened my skates. Scored a couple goals that game. Haven't had a better sharpen, will definitely be back

Dropped a pair of skates off on a Friday to get sharpened (radius) and an ankle bone area punched on the skate, they said they needed a few days - no issue with that but when I called back on Monday to see if they were ok to be picked up for Tuesday guy said yes. Went in on Tuesday and neither was done and the people there had no idea what I was talking about. When I told them I needed them for a game so I had to take them they told me where they were and didn’t even get them for me - to be clear 3 people sitting around and no one else in the store so not exactly busy with other stuff… just a very poor first experience and there’s enough better options in Guelph to avoid this place.

I went into Hometown Sports thinking my trapper needed to be re-laced. Turns out it was a quick fix and the boys had me on my way in about 10-minutes. They refused my offer to compensate them for their time and help. I really appreciated the gesture and their help.

The Hometown Sports & Apparel team is fantastic! The managers are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about hockey, lacrosse, baseball and their apparel. They have a great staff that is experienced in each sport and give an awesome experience. Their location has great parking, is new and clean, and they have an awesome selection of Under Armour apparel. Would 100% recommend checking them out! Thanks Mac and Justin!

Mac made my life a breeze! Efficient, cost effective and exactly what I was looking for. Originally I thought sportchek would be my best option but they were awful. I wanted to speak specifically about their lacrosse selection. I was in the city and saw they had lacrosse equipment. I was very surprised at their selection of heads, helmets, shoes/cleats, etc. It was much better than the gear you would see at a big box sports store. I thought the prices were fair considering they had a lot of top brands in their store.
