Friendly staff. No attempt to upsell. They even let me do a workout on the machine before buying it to make sure it was right for me. That rating was a 5. I’ve now lowered it to a 1.
Very disappointed with customer service once the bike was purchased!!! It’s making grinding noises when i am using it. When i bought the bike i was told that they handle all the service calls for the area. So i called them. The guy who answered the phone wanted nothing to do with it. He told me to call Peloton directly. I asked if he could give me the number to call. Nope. He wouldn’t even do that. He told me to go to the Peloton website and look it up. The whole reason i bought from this store is because i thought i would get better service if something went wrong. Next time i will go to a cheaper big box store for the same level of service.

I went in to buy a treadmill from this store dealt with the store manager, Kevin. Like anybody else spending $3K+ on one product, I had a lot of questions regarding the treadmills. I was debating between getting the XT485 and the XT685. I was convinced on buying the XT485, as I was told that the only difference between the 2 products was that the XT485 was foldable and the XT685 was not so that it can be designated as a light commercial unit for strata purposes. Therefore, I paid for the XT485 and told them that I will pick up the treadmill the next day.

I went home and started doing some research and reading some reviews to find out that there was actually some major build differences and quality between the 2 treadmills (XT685: 2 ply belt, 3 inch rollers, non-maintenance self-lubricating deck, etc.). I went back to the store the next day and talked to Kevin again and asked for the difference in price between the 2 products. I was given the price difference, which I was okay with, but I had a few more questions regarding the differences, which again I was told the only difference is the folding of the treadmill and there is no other differences. I told Kevin that I was reading some reviews online and looked at the treadmill on their website and it seems like there is some differences. I was told “you are reading 2 reviews online and I have been doing this for 13 years man. How would those people online know what the differences are and which one is better? Do they have both treadmills?” I ignored the disrespect in this comment and proceeded to ask him what the maintenance free deck system meant and would that actually mean that I don’t have to lubricate the treadmill? Because people online are saying that lubrication isn’t required with XT685. I was told by Kevin “all treadmills need to be lubricated. I have been doing this for a very long time and all treadmills need a walk and lube kit. You are listening to these reviewers who don’t have both treadmills. I have been selling treadmills for 13 years.” I ignored the disrespect again and proceeded to ask “what is the advantage of the 3-inch rollers? I am reading that it allows a smoother operation and lessens the load on the motor.” Kevin responded by “it’s a 4 HP motor and it’s gonna use 2 HP, the rollers aren’t gonna have an impact on your motor.” I then asked “what does it mean for a treadmill to have a 2 ply?” Kevin looked at me, scoffed, and said “I’m no longer answering any questions. Clearly you don’t trust what I am telling you and you would rather trust the internet.” At this point, I called Kevin out and told him that I am spending over $3K in his store and that I have the right to ask as many questions as I want and that if he didn’t want to answer my questions, I will go to another store and ask my questions and buy my treadmill there. At this point, Kevin apologized and said that he was sorry for being rude and that I should be allowed to ask questions. He then reached out to Spirit to ask about the maintenance free deck system get clarification on the lubricating aspect of the treadmill. I paid for the difference of the treadmill and upgraded to the XT685 and left the store. Kevin reached out to me later on in the day and told me that I was right about the XT685 not requiring lubrication.

I will most likely not return to this store due to this experience alone. My family and I have spent a pretty penny at this store building 2 home gyms and having this experience will likely make me take my business elsewhere. I am from Abbotsford and didn’t have time to go drive around to other stores at this point and just wanted to purchase my treadmill and call it a day. The disrespect, the confidence in providing the misinformation, and treating a loyal paying customer in that manner is not acceptable.

UPDATE - The regional manager, Nathan, reached out to me. He was able to resolve all concerns and questions. He provided great service and went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of. Thank you, Nathan!

Went in to purchase some adjustable dumbbells a few months ago and the sales person accidentally sold me two of the wrong color. No problem, it happens. I ended up having a confusing experience trying to exchange the dumbbell for the correct color.

Instead I decided to keep the dumbbells mixed because it doesn't affect their functionality. The dumbbells work great and as as advertised. I just wish that these folks treated their own coworkers better.

Update: Nathan reached out directly to address my customer experience and way very helpful. It is also likely that my experience wan unique and not likely to occur in the future.

So we needed a bike for home and after searching on line we called and met with Rob at Flaman fitness in Abbotsford. He was informative and honest. Showed us options, prices and availability.
We decided to buy a Spirit bike which he then delivered to our home and installed perfectly. Could not be happier with the whole process and highly recommend them.

My husband and I have been looking at inflatable SUP for a while now, but were hesitant about them, until I met Josh from the Abbotsford store at the trade show this past weekend. There were models on display so we could see the difference in quality and he knew his stuff. Since I am from out of town, they were really accommodating and shipped the boards to our home! I would highly recommend visiting Josh at Flaman Fitness. So happy with my purchase.
