Great store. Helpful, friendly staff. However, the wall of American-made YETI water bottles upon entering caught me off guard. C’mon guys. There must be a Canadian 🇨🇦equivalent that we’d all feel better selling and buying!

저희는 한국에서 캐나다에 눈 구경을 위해 여행왔습니다. 2월 16일에 헌츠빌에 있는 Algonquin Outfitters에 들려 스키 대여를 했습니다.
저희는 초보고 아무 것도 몰랐는데 친절한 직원이 모든 것을 도와주고 알려주었습니다.

적당한 가격에 백컨트리 스키를 빌려서 스키를 즐겼습니다.
신발이 없었는데, 친절한 직원인 Eamon이 주변 월마트에 들려 저렴한 부츠를 구매하는 방법을 추천해줘서 신발을 마련했습니다.

Eamon은 저희의 많은 질문에도 전부 친절히 답해주고, 추운 야외에서 직접 스키를 장착시켜주며 저희가 편한지 확인해주었습니다.
그리고 초보자들을 위한 적절한 스키를 대여해주었습니다.
게다가 스키를 탈 수 있는 좋은 장소도 친절히 알려주었습니다!!

Eamon이 없었다면 저희는 스키도 못 타고 아쉽게 캐나다 여행을 마무리했을 것입니다.
Eamon 덕분에 초보자들인 저희가 즐겁고 재밌게 스키를 즐겼습니다.

한국인들은 저 믿고 무조건 여기서 스키 대여하세요!! 직원들 다 착해요ㅎㅎ

We came to Canada from Korea for snow viewing. On February 16, we stopped by Algonquin Outfitters in Huntsville to rent a ski.
We didn't know anything about ski, but a kind employee helped us with everything and let us know.

I rented a backcountry ski at a reasonable price and enjoyed skiing.
I didn't have any shoes, but Eamon, a friendly employee, recommended me how to buy cheap boots from nearby Walmart, so I prepared them.

Eamon answered all of our questions kindly, fitted us with skis in the cold outdoors, and made sure we were comfortable.
And Eamon recommended right skis for beginners.
In addition, Eamon kindly taught me a good place to ski!!

Without Eamon, our Canada trip was bad, unfortunately without skiing.
Thanks to Eamon, we enjoyed skiing.

Koreans trust me and rent a ski here no matter what!! All the employees are nice

헌츠빌을 떠나기 전에 우연히 발견한 곳.
앞의 수로에서 카누를 즐길수 있었고 아주 합리적인 가격에 렌트해서 3명이 함께 즐겼습니다. 캐나다 여행에서 추억이 또 쌓이네요 고맙습니다.

Do not waste your time here for rentals. Long weekends can be busy which is understandable but the way they run their rental business is absolutely horrible. There is no proper order, we ended up sitting around waiting for more than 2 hours for a paddle boat just for them to serve other customers before us. If someone comes for a rental first they should be fully serviced in whatever manner possible before moving on to the next customer. Instead of helping they just looked scattered not even keeping track of how long people were on the boats for, when they’ll be coming back etc. We ended up leaving disappointed and not getting any rentals after 2 hours of waiting. Do not recommend go to a bigger rental place with better service!

1000/10 – Outstanding Store & Service!!
We recently stopped at Algonquin Outfitters in Huntsville during a road trip across Ontario and were absolutely blown away—not just by the store itself, but by the incredible kindness and helpfulness of the staff.

The shop has a fantastic range of outdoor gear, clothing, and accessories, all thoughtfully curated. Even though we were travelling and couldn’t buy much, my husband picked up a nice T-shirt that he loved at a great price. After shopping, we wandered down to the nearby waterfront to relax—and accidentally left the bag behind. We didn’t notice until we were three hours away!😅

On a whim, I messaged the store on Instagram to ask if anyone might be able to check for it. To our amazement, the team found the bag, brought it back to the store and then even offered to ship it to us (we just paid the postage- totally fair!).

Their kindness, quick responses, and above-and-beyond attitude genuinely meant so much. We felt so looked after. This experience turned a simple visit into one of the most memorable parts of our trip.😄

We’ll absolutely be visiting more Algonquin Outfitters locations whenever we’re back in Canada. Highly, highly recommend!

Outdoor enthusiasts pay attention!
If you are a gear head (like me, can’t have enough), or are just in need of some outdoor recreating pieces, or are even a poser and just want to look the part, this is your store!
They have it all.
Canoes, kayaks, paddles, tents, maps, sleeping bags, pots, pans, stoves, climbing equipment, jackets, rain pants, clothing….well, you get the picture.
High end equipment, as well as more reasonably priced items for those on a lower budget.
I have found go top of the line though, don’t need a ‘fail’ on the water or trail.
Anyway, even if you think you don’t need anything stop by and browse.
It’s like a candy store for outdoor recreational people.

Amazing and helpful staff.
My son was looking to purchase something for his bike when one of the guys from the basement pitched in his own funds to cover the difference. This was such an extremely generous gesture that didn’t just make his day but was a true lesson in selflessness and generosity.

Staff super friendly! We rented a 2 person peddle boat and had it for 1 hour. It was a fair price and we enjoyed it! Heads up — if you’re taller than 6 feet it may not be super comfy.
