My indoor\outdoor cat was missing since July. Three months later at 2AM we heard her meowing at our door and let her in. I am very appreciative that Lexington-Bedford Veterinary Hospital was able to examine and treat her that same day, and she seems fine! The doctors and nurses are knowledgeable and compassionate, and I definitely recommend this facility.

Can't say enough good things about Lexington-Bedford Veterinary Hospital. Each and every Vet, tech and support team member are all kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. You can tell that this is more than just a job for all of them. My two dogs get so excited when we make the turn into the parking lot. The attention they give whether it's for a wellness visit or a sick call is immeasurable. I have been going there for over twelve years and although the staff has changed the atmosphere and attention has not. I highly recommend.

I have been taking my pets here since I was a kid. They have always been excellent, and recently when we had to put our dog to sleep who had been a companion to my autistic daughter, the doctor did the procedure outside, on a blanket, with the family all around, so the dog and we would be comfortable, and sent us a lovely sympathy card after. A previous dog was put to sleep in a similarly very considerate, special way. We have taken other kinds of pets here as well, and have always received fantastic care and good service. I cannot imagine a better place to care for our pets.

We initially brought our dogs here because our vet was too busy to see them. It took all of 1-2 visits for me to decide to switch them over permanently. The staff here (from the receptionists through to the vets) are kind, non judgmental, well organized, follow through on their promises, and seem to have very authentic affection for the animals you bring in.

They are good at providing options rather than just saying “you should do x”. They explain their reasoning. They are upfront about the pricing and non judgmental about cost being a part of the decision that needs to be discussed. They’re not afraid to say they just don’t know the answer sometimes. They listen to you as an owner and take what you say seriously. I’ve never felt dismissed or patronized at all.

They're happy to sit on the floor to approach my dog in a way that makes him more comfortable. For my extremely skittish dog, they took the time to sit on the opposite side of the room until she got used to them a bit. If they need extra hands to make something more comfortable or safe, they have them available and can bring them in. We once had 4 staff in the room for cutting a dogs nails because he’s a masssssssive drama llama about it. ‍♀️

I had to leave my very old dog with them for a few hours the other day and it was a hard choice to do that. I told them he gets cold really easily. Within moments a tech was cheerfully digging out the extra big blankies for him. I truly believe they kept him warm and cozy throughout his stay which as a pretty heartbroken momma, made a lot of difference to me.

To my recollection this is the first Google review I’ve ever left for anything. I just really wanted to give them props not just for being a good vets office, but for being really good human beings too.
