Love bubble tea, so I was looking for a good place in this city. I got the strawberry milk tea with black tea, and it was delicious! I almost expected it to look more pink though! The workers were sitting on their phones at the front counter, staring down, while I was standing there waiting, so… that was a bit unusual. However the service was fast given that it was not busy. I did also notice only 2 tables in there, so not much space to sit. Otherwise, decent place to stop into if you’re passing by!

We got matcha with milk foam and we loved it so much. The only problem that I had was the packaging of the cup. It was so hard to eat the milk foam or mix it into the drink.

Only two tables to seat, so not a great option for dine in.
the sidewalk sign showed a lot of flavours for the ice-cream but inside they only had matcha and coconut (felt kind of manipulated by the false advertisement as we went inside initially for the ice cream).
Had to pay extra for the tapioca pearls as topping but isn’t it kind of an essential part of the bubble tea?!
However- they had options for the amount of sugar and ice - which was kind of cool since you get to choose the zero sugar option if you want. I went with zero sugar and 30% ice - perfect for my Oreo coffee milk tea ?
Size isn’t great for the price but it’s downtown- so not uncommon.

The tea is definitely nice and strong. Very enjoyable. We got a honeydew milk tea and a strawberry. Service was friendly. They do need more seating but it's more of a grab and go.

Been patiently waiting for this place to open. I’ve heard so many great things about Gong Cha, they’re very popular in the east for their traditional steeped teas.

My friends and I tried a few different drinks here; a green tea based drink, a black milk tea drink, and a blended fruit drink.

My favourite was the traditional pearl milk tea and the brown sugar milk tea. I found the green tea to be a bit bitter, however my friend who tried the matcha tea loved it. The blended fruit drink was also nice but I prefer PresoTea for fruit drinks since they use fresh fruit.

We also ordered two of their croffles, the Oreo and boba croffle. Though the wait was long, both were made fresh and tasted delicious. They’re open till 11pm and we ended up spending $10 each on both our boba and croffle, which is quite affordable compared to other similar places. We’ll definitely be coming back here next time we need a late night dessert & boba. Can’t wait to try out the rest of the menu!

Edit* Went back a few mores times to try out the rest of the menu. Included more photos. Love their creme brûlée topping and I can’t help but order a croffle every time I go in, my favourite has to be the chocolate and original!

I’m wanting to try their bubble waffle cones next but they didn’t have ice cream when I went in. Next time!

Please tell the guy that works the cash/ordering counter to stop swiping his hands through his hair, it’s not very sanitary, even if it’s washed.
The bubble tea is made from powder mix and doesn’t get well mixed my taro on the first sip was great, after that there was no flavour. Working with powder doesn’t allow you to chose the sugar level, somehow 30% is as low as you can go. The powder mix is over sweet even at 30%. There are better made bubble teas up the street

I’ve gotten boba from here a few times now and it’s been good so far. I always get a classic brown sugar milk tea whenever trying new places. It was made well, the boba was cooked perfectly, and the price is very comparable to the rest of the boba spots in Kingston. The store is clean and offers some seating. Just one thing: be sure to specify whether you want the tapioca pearls or flavored jelly (or both) because some drinks come with both by default. Overall, good boba!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Gong Cha, and it quickly became one of my go-to spots for bubble tea. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the quality of the drinks was nothing short of amazing. I opted for their signature Pearl Milk Tea, and it exceeded all my expectations. The tea was rich, smooth, and had a perfect level of sweetness—just enough to enhance the flavors without overpowering them. The pearls were fresh, chewy, and had just the right amount of bite, adding that signature texture that makes bubble tea so addictive.

What really made the experience special, though, was the exceptional service. Harry, one of the workers there, went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect. He greeted me with a big smile and was incredibly patient as I asked about the menu. Not only did he take the time to explain the different tea options and suggest customizations based on my taste preferences, but he also made sure my drink was prepared exactly how I wanted it. His knowledge of the menu and enthusiasm for bubble tea were obvious, and it added a personal touch to the whole experience.

Harry’s attentiveness didn’t stop there—he even came by after I received my order to check if everything was to my liking, which I really appreciated. It’s rare to find such genuine and thoughtful customer service, and Harry truly made my visit memorable. Thanks to his outstanding service and the high quality of the bubble tea, I’ll definitely be returning to Gong Cha. Highly recommended!
